As you turn your attention towards the year ahead, you may have heartfelt dreams and intentions for what this year could bring. Perhaps lists are already made full of your New Year’s resolutions and you begin with high hopes that this year will be better than the last.
As you take your first steps in this new year, you need to feel confident in the wisdom of your goals and in your ability to remain true to the milestones you have set out for yourself.

It is my deep belief that the universe loves us all equally in ways we cannot truly comprehend. As we step forward rooted in the knowing that our truest joy is the universe’s joy, possibilities open up to us in ways unimaginable.
In my meditation article in this month’s issue, I share about the power of challenging your limiting beliefs, so that you may experience a fulfilling year ahead:
When you see painful thoughts thwart your heart’s joy, draw upon an age-old key truth on the path to freedom. Know that when you believe that life is happening “to” you, you are in your ego. As though under a spell, you are temporarily attached to a passing perception, generated by your ego, which only knows to divide. In that moment, you are seeing life through a limited, distorted lens.
The ego is both attached and tricky. But it has its own Achilles heel. It dissolves when questioned and witnessed. Willingness to grow involves the courage to question the reality of the painful voices that keep you feeling small. Ultimately, you need to fully understand that they are not true.
The easiest way to do this is to ask yourself straightforwardly, “Is this thought or perception true?”

May 2016 be your best year yet.
Until next time,
Love yourself.
Love others.
Love our world.
We are ONE Earth family.
Namaste,
Parvati
