Hello friends,
I am in the thick of a fast paced production schedule to shoot the music video for my song “I Am Light” this weekend. I love this song and cannot wait to share the music video and the radio edit version of the song with you! The song and video celebrate the luminous nature within each one of us. Here is a little audio sample from the song’s extended mix for you to enjoy, so that you can hear the light sparkles:

The musical arrangement was inspired by sparkling lights in a forest, like dancing fireflies. The layered sounds are to convey the feeling of joyful, swirling elementals that emerge into sight and then leave.
The ancient mantra that you hear me chanting is known as the Prajna Paramita mantra, Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi swaha, which translates to Gone, gone beyond, gone utterly beyond. Oh, what awakening! So be it. These beautiful words come at the end of the Heart Sutra, a well known Buddhist scripture. ‘Prajna’ means wisdom and ‘Paramita’ refers to a crossing over, or going beyond. It is said that these words were uttered by a Buddhist monk at his moment of enlightenment.
The mantra is important to me artistically to help convey the message that just beyond the physical solidity that we see, we find the underlying fabric of eternal, dancing light that ties the universe together. While I have created and produced this song for you to enjoy at any level, this deeper message points to that fact that as we go beyond all sense of an ego-driven “me”, we awaken into understanding that we are dancing light, undimmed by darkness and unswayed from delight.
I will periodically post updates about the fun creative production process of making the I Am Light music video in the weeks and months to come on my various social media platforms. So please stay tuned! This song is part of the lead up to the release of the epic music video Yoga In the Nightclub, as both I Am Light and Yoga In the Nightclub are singles from my upcoming album ETHOS.
In the meantime, if you have not already read this month’s Parvati Magazine, please do so. There are many articles by caring souls who are acting in accordance with their inner inspiration, to inspire you on the similar theme to this music video: Movement, Dance and Action.
May you dance in the light of your true nature this week and always.
Until next week,
Love yourself.
Love others.
Love our world.
We are ONE Earth family.
Namaste,
Parvati
