Important Updates about the Transcendent Luminosity Tour

BY Parvati

Dear friends,
As Rishi and I continue to prepare for the Transcendent Luminosity UK tour, I feel inspired by the notion of being able to share my joy with you. If you are in the UK and have not already bought your workshop tickets, best to do so now at as early bird specials are in effect until October 10, 2013.
The tour in October and November now focuses on my YEM: Yoga as Energy Medicine and Confessions of a Former Yoga Junkie workshops. There are two reasons for this. The first is that these workshops themselves are so rich, we want to make sure they get the star placing they deserve. When you take them, I know you will be left grateful and soulfully nourished.
The second reason is that through generous fan support, we can now build YIN: Yoga in the Nightclub as an immersive, surround-sound show. We’ll be in production mode through the fall/winter and return to the UK in early 2014 to share it with you along with my workshop The Healing Power of Sound. So twice as much fun!
The October and November workshops are expressions of my own yogic and spiritual journey. As such, they are very close to my heart and I love teaching them. It was the principles of YEM: Yoga as Energy Medicine that guided me through my medically miraculous healing after a spinal injury in 2011. YEM celebrates an essential aspect of Hatha Yoga that many have forgotten. Hatha yoga was designed thousands of years ago to purify the subtle channels of energy within the body/being, so that we may experience the unifying reality beyond our ego that exists within all. But our minds are busy, we are attached, and we get in the way. Identified with being the doers, we impose our will on reality and struggle to gain greater control, only to find temporary highs and inevitable lows.
My YEM workshop helps participants discern and choose between two very different forces: the limited force of our will and ego, and the inexplicably huge life-force that guides us to magnificence, if we are willing to get out of the way, listen and honour its directive. When we allow life-force to animate our yoga poses, they become effortless, powerful and blissful. By practicing YEM, our actions become aligned with our highest good. YEM shows us how to live a connected spiritual life while fully engaged in the world. It suits beginners and advanced teachers of all styles of yoga. Here is what one participant said of the workshop:
“What a gifted instructor Parvati is… A few gentle words of unexpected insight startled me out of my habitual mind. My eyes filled with tears of release and my whole body resonated with a new way of being. I don’t know any other yoga teacher who works on the level she does.”
Confessions of a Former Yoga Junkie: A Revolutionary Life Makeover for the Sincere Spiritual Seeker, based on my debut book, is a workshop that shares the insights I gained from a near death experience in India, when I saw “the other side”, said “I want to live!”, and came back with a very different understanding of what was important in my life. I had been unwell for years driven by other’s desires. Only when I stopped living for other people’s dreams, and started to listen to the still small voice within, did my gifts flower.
Most of us can feel at times like a victim of circumstance, blaming others for our unhappiness rather than realizing that our experiences are a result of our choices and previous karmic tendencies. Because of my near death experience, I became fully aware that I consciously chose to be here. From this perspective, I saw life as a tremendous gift to be cherished. It also awoke spiritual skills and insights, which are now part of my daily life, seeing life as a fabric of possibilities that supports my greatest good and the greatest good of all. We are always within the divine. The universe is built upon love and supports our greatest joy. All else is illusion.
This workshop is all about helping you wake up to the story of your life and take a new look at what is driving your choices, so that you can let go of the unnecessary burdens you may be carrying. My aim is to support you in being rooted in lasting joy, with healthy relationships with your self, others and the Divine.
I am excited about the work we will be doing together and look forward to sharing in Transcendent Luminosity this fall!
