It's Time to Catch the Light!

BY Parvati

It is now spring and the light has returned! How perfect that this Tuesday is also the official worldwide release of “I Am Light”, my new single and first ever music video – on iTunes, Google Play and Youtube. Woot! Woot! (Picture me singing and dancing).
I will be courageously upfront and ask you from the bottom of my heart to please support the luminosity within this track by picking up your copy to give yourself the gift of light in your playlist. Then keep spreading the word. (A link will be active here on March 22, 2016. Please check in on Tuesday!) The more copies of “I Am Light” are bought, the higher it moves in the music charts, the greater chances it has of being played on commercial radio, the more people will hear it, the greater light it shines. Together, we illuminate the world!
In case you didn’t know, it is super easy to gift songs on iTunes to others from your computer. Here is how:

  • Open iTunes or iBooks.
  • If you’re not already, sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  • Find the item that you want to gift.
  • To the right of the item’s price, click the arrow.
  • From the menu, choose Gift This [item type].
  • Enter your recipient’s email address.
  • If you want, add a message.
  • Pick the day you want to send the gift and click Next.
  • Select a theme for your gift and click Next.
  • Confirm your gift purchase and click Buy Gift.

With all of this, I feel like I am on a deep growth spurt. Externally, this is the biggest week of my musical life to date. In addition to the release, after securing an exclusive radio feature on Asia Pop 40 this weekend, “I Am Light” is about to have its video premiere to millions of households Monday on Vietnam’s YAN TV, the top teen TV station in the country. I have had many wonderful opportunities in my music career. This has been grace.
Internally, I have so many feelings about this – joy, wonder, and above all, humble awe at the grace of being able to touch so many through this song. This is why I do what I do. The song came through me like a child that needed to be born, with a mission for the world. It has asked me to align within more fully in knowing that I too am eternal light. It has shaken out internal cobwebs, brought up aspects of my shadow to heal, and amplified the joyous nature of my soul. I feel it has gifted me with so very much already. It is my job to serve its radiant life and momentum.
As such, I am thrilled to see that Asia is starting to build quite a buzz with newspapers from Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand and the Philippines catching and sharing the luminosity in the song and its message. Last week, I saw myself leading off the Entertainment section in the Davao Sun Star, sharing the page exclusively with Madonna and Celine Dion! When Rishi saw this, he smiled saying that he has always seen me in the same arenas as the ladies of pop. Thank you hubby / manager for your love, immense hard work and vision! : )
I am deeply touched that the cover spread in the Davao Sun Star in the Philippines wrote a story about my music called “Enlightenment Wherever You Are”. A perfect expression of my message and what I am about. We are all beings of light! I had a wonderful discussion with the Sun Star’s editor in chief about my music and yoga and why I bring the two together as I do.
Through the music, a spark arises in me to serve the needs I see, by bringing an energy of love, interconnection and transformation over the airwaves to as many people as possible. So too, I feel a deep light guided me to ignite the creation of the not-for-profit to protect the Arctic Ocean and cool our overheating planet. Both came from the same inner knowing that we are all interconnected. As such, the intentions of the Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary (MAPS) and the song and video “I Am Light” are no different. They each support the other and carry the same intention in different ways. Both are about understanding the light we are, beyond wanting and suffering. When we act in knowing that everything we do affects everyone and everything, we stay cool and shine. So please, keep your footprint light, because you are light!
A special thank you to all those who volunteered to bring the “I Am Light” video to the world, directed by Sashwat Sebok and myself. Without you, it would not have been possible to share the light it shines:

I would also like to acknowledge Aki Studio Theatre at Native Earth Performing Arts for the wonderful space in which we shot the concert scene.
Since “I Am Light” was created with so much love and attention to detail, it is my sincere wish that the world receives it – not out of any desire for personal accolade, but out of the simple joy to serve and share.
As such, it would mean the world to me if you join the Headtalker campaign before Tuesday morning at 9am Toronto time to boost the signal worldwide by clicking this link and supporting the “I Am Light” release through Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and/or LinkedIn.

And remember to watch this space. On Tuesday, I will update it with the official “I Am Light” song and music video links.
In advance, thank you for your generous love and support. You are truly luminous!
Love yourself.
Love others.
Love our world.
We are one Earth family.
